Pullipu Keerai
Ingredients:
- tamarind a small lemon size
- coriander seeds 1 tsp
- mustard 1 tsp
- green leaves 2 to 3 bunches
- green chillies 2-3
- red chilli 4
- turmeric powder 1 pinch
- asafoetida a pinch
- tur dal 1 cup
- salt to taste
Method:
Soak tamarind for sometime. Heat oil and garnish mustard and coriander seeds. After it splits add turmeric powder, green chillies, red chillies, asafoetida and sambar podi. Add green leaves, washed and chopped and spray some soda. When the greens are cooked add cooked
dal, stir it for 10 minutes. Add the tamarind water. Stir it well for 15 minutes. When the aroma of tamarind subsides remove and serve.
