Moongdal Kichadi
Ingredients:
- pulao rice 500 gm
- split green gram 225 gm
- cinnamon 1 small piece
- cloves 6
- fat 55 gm
- onion 115 gm
- turmeric a pinch
- salt 10 gm
Method:
Wash and soak gram for 1/2 hour. Wash and soak rice for 15 minutes. Heat fat, add sliced onion, spices and rice, dal, salt, turmeric and double the amount of water. Stir and cover the pan. Cook gently till rice is tender and kichadi is soft. Garnish
with chopped coriander leaves as desired.
