Instant Bhel I And II
There are 2 ways of making instant bhel puri. Lets discuss them one by one.
Instant Bhel I
Ingredients:
- puffed rice 5 cups(pori)
- finely cut onions 2 tbsp
- roasted gram 2 tbsp
- oil 1 1/2 tbsp
- salt as required
- red chilli powder 3/4 tsp
- chopped coriander leaves 1 tbsp
- finely cut green mango pieces 1 1/2 tbsp
- finely cut tomatoes 1 tbsp
- grated carrots 2 tbsp
- grated beet root 2 tbsp
- lemon 1
Method:
Mix puffed rice and roasted gram in a bowl. Sprinkle oil and coat well on puffed rice using hands. Add slat, chilli powder and mix well. Mix other ingredients quickly with lemon
juice to the puffed rice. Serve immediately.
Instant Bhel II
Ingredients:
- puffed rice 4 cups(pori)
- small onions 1/4 cup
- roasted gram 1 tbsp
- oil 1 tbsp
- salt as required
- red chilli powder 1/2 tsp
- roasted peanuts 1 tbsp
- lemon 1 small
For Green Chutney:
- grated fresh coconut 1/4 tsp
- green chillies 3
- coriander leaves 1/2 bunch
- chutney gram 1 tsp
- salt little
Method:
Peel and slice small onions. Soak in lime juice with salt and chilli powder for 1 hour. Grind chutney with minimum water possible and keep in a
refrigerator for 1/2 an hour. Mix peanuts and gram with puffed rice in a bowl. Add 1 tbsp oil and smear well with hands. Add chutney, soaked onion
with the lime juice, salt and chilli powder. Mix well and serve immediately.
