Chilli Powder
Ingredients:
- red chillies 75 gm
- salt to taste
- tamarind the size of a small lemon
- urad dal 50 gm
- channa dal 25 gm
- gingelly seeds 50 gm
- mustard 1 tsp
- asafoetida powder 1/4 tsp
- oil for frying
- jaggery 10 gm
Method:
Dry roast the gingelly seeds until they burst with a pop. Fry in oil urad dal and channa dal until they turn golden brown and fry the red chillies with them. Grind all the ingredients into a coarse powder.
