Tamarind Rice
Ingredients:
- rice 1 cup
- tamarind big lime size
- red chillies 3
- coriander seeds 1 tsp
- fenugreek little
- pepper 1/2 tsp
- asafoetida a pinch
- turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- gingelli oil 2 tbsp
- curry leaves few
- salt to taste
Method:
Cook rice and allow it to cool. Soak tamarind in 2 cups of water and extract. Stain and keep. Heat little oil and fry broken red chillies. Add tamarind pulp with turmeric powder and asafoetida. Reduce the extract to thick
pulp. Add coarsely powdered pepper and salt. Remove from fire. Fry fenugreek and coriander seeds in little oil and powder. Add everything to cooked rice and mix well. Heat little oil and add it, with curry leaves to rice.
