Paneer Satay:
Paneer Satay
This is vegetarian version of an Indonesian speciality, popular also in
parts of china, malaya and japan.
Ingredients:

paneer 300 gm
-
roasted peanuts 1 tsp

ginger 2 cm
-
coriander seeds 1 tsp
-
turmeric root 1 small piece
-
black pepper corns 1/2 tsp
-
thick coconut milk 1 cup
-
jaggery powder 1 tsp
-
salt to taste

peanut oil to taste
Method:
Cut paneer into cubes. Grind peanuts, ginger and coriander, turmeric and
pepper together to a smooth paste. Mix with coconut milk. Add jaggery and
salt. Pour this mixture over the paneer pieces and allow to soak for half
an hour. Thread the pieces on broom sticks (coconut palm stick) or thin
skewers. Brush with oil and grill till light brown. Serve with satay sauce.
