If the garbanzo beans are fresh, soak them overnight and cook them with lots of water. Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onions and fry till brown. Add garlic to this. Now add finely chopped tomatoes. When they are cooked add the precooked garbanzo beans with the water. Add salt and masala powder to this. Adjust masala powder. Atlast if required garnish with coriander leaves and lemon juice.
