In a mixing bowl, put in the maida earlier sieved with the baking powder. Then add the sugar, lemon juice and semolina. Add just enough water to make a dipping consistency. Keep aside this batter. Peel, core and slice thinly the apples into rounds. Heat up the oil in a kadai. Dip the apple rings a few at a time in the prepared batter and deep fry to a golden brown. Just before serving a little icing sugar mixed with cinnamon powder could be sprinkled on top of the apple fritters.
