Yellow Rice
Ingredients:
- pulav rice 500 gm
- fat 50 gm
- onion 115 gm
- turmeric powder a pinch
- cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf, cardamom, badam 2 gm
- salt to taste
- water or stock 1 litre
Method:
Pick, wash and soak rice. Slice onions. Heat fat. Fry sliced onions. Remove. Fry the spices. Add rice and fry. Add turmeric dissolved in water and stir well. Add hot water or stock
in the proportion 1:2 and add salt. Finish off. Cook the rice as you cook the fried rice. Garnish with fried onion and chopped coriander leaves.
