Roasted Gram Sambar
Ingredients:
- peeled small onions 1/2 cup
- tomatoes 3 medium sized
- turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
- salt as required
- sugar or jaggery optional
Fry and Powder
- dhania 1 tsp
- red chillies 8
Powder separately
- roasted bengal gram 1 1/2 tbsp
Method:
Chop onions and tomatoes. Heat little oil and season with little mustard seeds. Add onions and then tomatoes. Fry well and pour water with salt and turmeric. Boil till raw flavour is lost. Add ground mixture
of dhania and chillies. Boil for few more minutes. Just before removing from fire add gram powder which is made into a paste with water. Ganish with curry leaves and coriander leaves.
