Manpasand Dal Salad
Ingredients:

1/2 cup moong dal

1/2 cup chana dal
-
1/2 cup french beans, chopped and cooked till tender and crisp

2 tbsp oil
-
2 green chillies, finely chopped

1/2 cup cucumber, chopped

1/2 cup coconut grated
-
1/4 cup coriander leaves, chopped
-
2 tbsp lemon juice or chopped raw mango
-
a few curry leaves
-
salt to taste
-
cucumber and green chilli for garnishing
Method:
Soak both dals seperately for 2 hours and cook in salt water till tender
and crisp. Drain water. Heat oil in a vessel and add green chillies and
curry leaves. Saute for a minute. Add both cooked dals and mix. Remove
from fire and cool for a few minutes. Mix other ingredients. Take out in
a serving bowl. Decorate with cucumber slices and chilli.
Serves 6-8.
