Malayala Adai
Ingredients:
- red gram dal 1 cup
- raw rice 1 cup
- cumin seeds 1 tsp
- red chillies 6
- coconut 1/2
- asafoetida a pinch
- salt 1 1/4 tsp
- tamarind small gooseberry sized
- curry leaves few
- oil for frying
Method:
Soak rice and dhal together for 2 hours. Add other ingredients and grind to fine rawa consistency. Heat a tawa and pour adai. To the left over dough, next day finely cut onions and drumstick leaves can be added to make adai.
