Karam Podi
Ingredients:
- black pepper 1 tbsp
- cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- coriander seeds 1/4 cup
- mustard seeds 1 tsp
- dry ginger 1 inch piece
- red gram dal 1/4 cup
- red chillies 10-12
- curry leaves 1/2 cup
- fenugreek 1 tsp
- tamarind big lemon sized
- garlic 15 flakes
Method:
Dry roast curry leaves, pepper, cumin, mustard and fenugreek separately. Peel garlic and fry till light brown in oil. Fry red chillies, dal and coriander seeds in
little oil. Pound everything together. At the end add tamarind, salt, garlic and pound once again well.
