Green Gram Sambar
Ingredients:
- green gram dhal 2 tbsp
- sambar onions 1/2 cup
- green chillies 3
- tomatoes 2
- thick tamarind extract 2 tbsp
- turmeric powder 2 tsp
- sambar powder 2 tsp
- salt as required
Method:
Pressure cook dhal till one whistle sound. Chop tomatoes. Peel small onions. Slit green chillies. Fry green chillies, onions and tomatoes in oil. Add cooked dal, salt, sambar powder, tamarind
extract with enough water. Boil till thick. In little oil tamper mustardseeds, black gram dal and bengal gram dal. Pour over sambar and garnish with curry leaves.
