Coconut Kalakand
Ingredients:

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup sugar
-
1/2 cup milk powder
-
1/4 cup paneer, to make paste in a mixer

200 gms fresh cream
-
1 to 1/2 cups desiccated coconut

1/4 tsp saffron, melted in little milk

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

few almonds sliced
Method:
Take milk and sugar in a vessel and heat it. Add milk powder, fresh cream
and desiccated coconut. Beat the mixture to mix evenly. There should be
no lumps. Heat and cook till the mixture thickens and leaves the sides
of the vessel. Mix melted saffron and cardamom powder. Cook for a minute.
Pour the mixture in a tray and spread evenly. Sprinkle almond slices. Cut
into pieces when cool. Keep in fridge till serving time.
Makes about 20 pieces
