Cabbage, Peas And Potato Millagootal
Ingredients:
- moong dal 1/2 cup
- cabbage chopped fine 1/4 of the vegetable
- potato 1 large size
- peas 1 cup
- sambar powder 1 tsp
- turmeric powder a pinch
- salt to taste
- shredded dry coconut
- mustard 1 tsp
- urad dal 1 tsp
- dry red chillies 1
- curry leaves few
- oil for seasoning
- pepper 6 corns
Method:
Cook the dal in about 2 cups of wate with a pinch of turmeric powder and salt. When the dal is slightly underdone add the cut cabbage, potatoes and cooked peas. If
needed some more water can be added. Add sambar powder and salt. Cover them well and let it cook for another 10-15 minutes. Fry coconut, urad dal, pepper and red chillies in little oil. Grind
them to a fine paste. Add this paste to the boiling vegetables. Season with fried urad dal, mustard, curry leaves and cilantro.
