Sugar Syrup


Make a thin syrup by combining 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup water and cook over low heat. Add 2 tbsp milk to the boiling sugar syrup so that the scum comes to the top of the syrup. Remove the scum with a spoon. Take a drop of the liquid on your index finger and the thumb, try releasing instantly. Repeat 2 or 3 times. If elastic string forms between ur finger and thumb then the syrup is ready to use.
