Soak both the rice together and urad dal seperately for 1 hour. Grind rice along with asafoetida and salt to a fine paste. Grind urad dal seperately to a fine paste. Now mix both the ground paste together. Add salt to the mixture. Heat oil in a pan and drop the batter ih the oil and fry them till brown.
