Sandwich bread (a day old) 12 slices
Grated cheese 1/2 cup
Butter 4 tbsp
Marmalade 1/4 cup
Cream 1 cup
Pepper powder and salt to taste
Cut off the crusts from the bread slices and spread butter well. Put the
grated cheese with half of the cream in a mixing bowl and beat lightly.
Mix in pepper powder and salt. In another bowl put in the marmalade and
the remaining cream. Add pepper powder and salt to taste and whip lightly.
Divide each filling into four equal portions. Place four buttered bread
slices on a board. Spread a portion of cheese and cream mixture on them.
Cover with four slices of bread. The unbuttered facing up. Spread the marmalade
and cream mixture on the top of them. Then cover with another four slices
of bread. Layer the remaining marmalade cream mixture on the top. Then
cover with the remaining four slices. Press firmly but gently. Wrap up
in individual foils and refrigerate till packing time.
