Curd Vada



Soak urad dal and thoor dal together in water and keep aside. Grind coconut, a few coriander leaves, 4 green chillies and ginger(peeled) into a smooth paste and add to the curd, Season the curd with mustard and 2 green chillies(finely chopped) fried in oil. Chop a few curry leaves and a few coriander leaves and keep aside. After 2 hrs, drain the soaked dals and grind into a smooth paste along with salt, six green chillies and asafoetida powder and keep aside. Add milk to the curd and stir well. Add also salt to taste and mix well. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves to the paste, mix well and cook the vadas in oil as usual. Immerse the vadas in curd as soon as they are cooked. Serve vadas after they are soaked well in the curd.
