Grate the coconut, fry brown in a little oil. Similarly, fry in oil, the other ingredients one by one separately. Grind coconut, red chillies, salt and asafoetida powder into a coarse powder. Add mustard and urad dal to teh coarse powder and grind lightly and serve.
