Grate coconut. Fry lengthly in fat. Melt jaggery in about 20 ml of water. Cook till it comes to the hard ball stage. Add coconut, continue cooking stirring all the time till it is thick. Add cardamom powder and pour into a greased plate. Spread the mixture. Make squares. When cold cut into pieces.
