Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard to it. When mustard splutters add urad dal and curry leaves. Now add chopped onions and fry till brown. When the onions are ready add cabbage, turmeric powder and salt. Wait till cooked. Now add coconut, crushed garlic, cumin seeds and green chillies to the still cooking cabbage. Stir for a few minutes and remove from fire.
