This item can be prepared easily and quickly. This item can be used as
side dish for Pongal, Puri and chapati.
Basin(chana Dal Flour) 4 tbsp
Onion (large) 1
Green chillies 12
Mustard 1 tsp
Urid dal 1 tsp
Salt to taste
oil for frying
Dissolve the flour in 1/2 liter of water (ensure that lumps are eliminated).
Chop the onion and green chillies fine.
Heat a little oil on a sauce-pan and add mustard and urid dal. When
the mustard crackles, add green chillies and onion and fry. When the onion
turns golden brown and curls add the solution (channa flour) and salt to
taste and stir vigorously.
In a couple of minutes, the ingredients come unstick at which point,
shut off the flame.
