In the mixing bowl put in the peeled banana and mash them well. Then gradually add the vanilla custard powder, maida, sugar, a few drops of vanilla essence and a pinch of baking powder. Mix well. IF the batter is too stiff a little milk can be added. The batter should be of a dropping consistency. Heat up the oil in a kadai and drop tablespoons of the batter in the oil and fry to a golden brown. Drain and place these banana fritters on a serving plate. Sprinkle some sugar on them and keep a few wedges of lemon and serve.
